Fresh Makeup || Ready For Spring

Hi everyone! Since the weathers starting to get nicer I thought it's about time to change up my makeup from vampy lip colours and darker smokey eyes to a much more natural, soft and dewy look. If you want to know how I achieved this look then please keep reading.

First I primed the skin with Benefits POREfessional, starting from the centre of my face where my pores are biggest and working outwards.

Then using Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer I am using my ring finger and getting rid if the dark circles under my eyes and covering and blemishes it redness.

Next I am using one of my absolute favourite foundations, Rimmel's Wake Me Up in True Ivory and using that all over my face with the Real Techniques Buffing brush.

Then using a big fluffy brush I take a seeping of Rimmel's Stay Matte powder just through my T-Zone.

For bronzer I took my Real Techniques Contour brush and my Soleil Tan de Chanel and buffing that into the hollows of my cheeks and onto my temples for a sun kissed look.

I then used MUA's Mosaic Blush in English Rose with the PS Love blush brush from Primark to add some colour to my cheeks.

Using another contour brush by Real Techniques I took Mac's Lightscapade and used it to highlight my cheek bones and the high points of my face.

For eyeshadow I primed my eyes with primer sample that comes with the Naked 3 Palette and then used the shade Limit all over the lid and slightly above the crease and then using Burnout over the top from the middle of the lid to the outer corner. To add a touch of gold to the eyes I then patted Trick onto the center of my lid and took it slightly under my waterline.

Using Collection's Fast Stroke Eyeliner I created a small cat flick to add a bit more definition and drama to my eyes.

Then to add even more definition to my eyes I used Benefit's They're Real mascara.

So there you go, my ready for spring makeup look. I apologise for my bush like eyebrows, I'm growing them before I reshape them.

Hope you enjoyed, bye guys x

Spring Clear Out || Tips & Tricks

Hi everyone! I hope your all having a lovely Easter weekend, whatever you may be doing.

It feels like forever since I last posted, but I'm back with new ideas, and a proper schedule. I will be uploading new posts every Sunday and sometimes will throw an extra one in on a Wednesday if there's something I cannot wait to share with you all!

But let's move on to the reason you've all clicked on this post.

Now that spring is finally upon us, I thought it was about time I sort through the black hole that is my wardrobe and get rid of the things I don't wear anymore. If your anything like me then the idea of doing that makes you want to run a mile, but hey it's got to be done.

So I'm here to give you a few tips to make this somewhat tedious task a bit easier.

Mindset:

1. Be honest with yourself - you know
that dress is too big for you.

2. Be ruthless - if you don't wear it, find someone else that will.

3. Be organised - keep your yes and no piles away from each other, you don't want to get rid of the wrong thing!

Things to go:

1. Anything that's either too big or too small

2. Things you don't feel comfortable in

3. Things you don't feel confident

4. Anything you haven't worn in the last year - with exception to anything sentimental, outfits for special events or fancy dress

How to get rid of your old clothes

1. Take your bags of old clothes to charity shops

2. Use the bags that get posted through your doors from various charities and leave them somewhere for collection

3. Take them to clothes banks

I hope these tips have helped you get motivated to sort through your wardrobe ready for spring.
Let me know in the comments any tips you have.

Bye guys!

Odds & Sods Haul || Primark, H&M, Claire's and more

Hi everyone, I'm back again with another haul. This time it's the odds and sods I've picked up over the last week or so. There's a mixture of clothing, shoes and random bits and pieces from a mixture of places including Primark, H&M and Claire's Accessories.

Firstly from Primark I found this cute oversized cropped tee with a gorgeous floral design yet with a sports motif to add a bit of an edge. I think this will be perfect in the spring and a great way to add more colour into my wardrobe.

Also from Primark I stumbled across two amazing pairs of shoes. They're both definitely summer shoes so I'll have to wait to wear them. But I love them none the less. First is these cool striped pair of canvas shoes which are super comfy and would just add a little something to a pair of jeans or shorts.

The next pair are these beautiful sandals. I'm all about adding colour to my outfits this spring and summer and these are amazing for that. I also think they'd look really cute with the dress I'm about to show you...

I picked up this pretty mint green skater dress from H&M. It's got a raised floral pattern all over it.. Is it called Jaquard? It's super comfy and fits really nicely. It's also a great length too because I find in H&M that a lot of the dresses are quite short on me.

Also from H&M I bought this black and white striped bodycon dress. Now I'm not the slimmest by any stretch of the imagination but I have been on a health kick and when I put this on it really showed off my figure and Becsuse the print is so busy it doesn't draw attention to the problem areas. This looks great with cropped jumpers thrown over the top, tights and boots.

From Claire's I found a couple of things which I really love. I haven't been into Claire's in years but walking past I noticed they had some really cute things in there so I decided to have a snoop round. The first thing I found was this beautiful jewellery holder. This is perfect because I'm going to be decorating my room in the near future hopefully and this is the kind of thing I want to be on display. It'll be great for holding my earrings and some of my necklaces.

Also from Claire's I picked up the cutest phone sock ever! There was a while selection of these little monsters but this one just stood out to me because I absolutely love the colour and his big eyes! I need to name him, leave any suggestions in the comments.

And finally from Claire's I got this really cute infinity symbol necklace. It's double sided and on one side has little diamantés along one side but I like to wear it so just the gold side is showing. I just really like the symbol and am really looking into getting it tattooed in me somewhere. (Also in the picture is a necklace with my name on it that my best friend bought me from Topshop and she got one with her name on it too. She's too cute)

Lastly I got a few random bits from Poundland. These may not interest you, but I like to see what kind of things people use in general day to day life and where to get them from so you might find this useful.

I wanted to try a whitening toothpaste because I really want to get my teeth whiter for summer when lots if photos will be taken and I don't want to be embarrassed by them. So I picked up Colgates Advanced Whitening toothpaste which says you will see results after 14 days so fingers crossed!

I also got some bog standard chewable vitamin C tablets because I recently had the flu and it's scared me into making sure I have enough vitamins and keep my immune system working properly.

And the last two little things of course had to be One Direction related. I found this box of plasters and also this small cut out of Harry. I know they're just silly things but I like them and there was a lot more stuff I could of bought!

Okay so that's all the random bits and pieces I've picked up over the past week or so. I hope you enjoyed it and I'll speak to you all soon.

Bye guys x

Huge Beauty Hall || Boots, Superdrug & Mac

Hi everyone!

I feel like I haven't written a post in such a long time but I'm back today with a beauty haul for you guys.

So recently I spent a few days in Kent visiting my friend at Uni so naturally we had to do a bit of shopping... and then I came home and went shopping with another friend. Sorry.

I'll start with all the goodies I bought from Boots. The first thing I picked up was an undereye concealer by 17 in the shade Fair. I've used this every day since I bought it and I have to say that so far I'm very impressed. It's very lightweight yet covers well.

Also from 17 I picked up two nude lipsticks. The first being BeeHive which is a warm toned nude and an all rounder through the different seasons. The next is a darker nude called Belle. Both are really smooth to apply onto the lips and feel nice and moisturising, they have great colour pay off too.

From the Benefit stand I picked up this box full of little sample size products. It's the Primping with the Stars set and I've been wanting to try out some more Benedit products for a while but because of the price tag I tend not to just incase I don't like something. This is why I decided to get one of the sets to try out a few different mini products rather then wasting a full size.

Besides being full of cutely packaged miniatures, the box itself is beautiful and even after I have used up the products I will keep this box on display and find something cute to keep inside it.

Within the set there are miniatures of the Stay don't Stray concealer primer, the Some Kinda Gorgeous, Girl Meets Pearl highlight which I've been using along the tops of my cheekbones and I love it! Then there's a sample of the They're Real mascara which I've had before and it's absolutely amazing, then a mini POREfessional which I'm sure you've heard of by now and finally a little Benetint which I used for the first time today and it just leaves a very natural hint of colour to your cheeks leaving your skin looking nice and healthy.

Next I had to buy some more of the toner I've been using. It's from the Botanics All Bright range and since I started using this alongside the All Bright cleanser in January my skin has never looked better. I don't break out very much like I used to and if I do it's only because of the hormones.. You know what in talking about. Also it's really helped reduce redness from scars left from constant breakouts around my chin area. If your in the market for a good toner for an amazing price then I highly recommend this. It's normally around £5 but there's always deals and I bought mine on a half price deal.

Shockingly I've never owned anything from Models Own so I thought it was time to get something. I don't know how long these particular nail vanished have been out but it's such a cool idea. They have nice pastel shades, I went for this beautiful lavender colour and inside the clear packaging there is a reel of self-adhesive stickers to add over the paint. This colour comes with a reel of floral stickers but I'm sure the other colours came with different things.

The last couple of products are all to do with hair. Now I've got naturally very long and thick hair which I am very lucky to have and I don't have a problem with volume usually, but a few weeks ago now I made the silly mistake of having a slight fringe cut in which doesn't suit me at all, I also had some not too short layers put in too so my hair just doesn't sit like it used to so I'm hoping that with the help of Batiste's XXL plumping powder I'll be able to get my hair closer to how it used to be.

And finally from Boots I picked up L'oreal's Elvive Smooth and Polish hair mask because I have ombre'd hair and am looking into going ashy blonde all over I want to make sure my hair is in good condition before I put any colour or bleach into it.

So now moving on to the goodies I picked up from Superdrug.

First I went over to the Revlon stand where they always have a 3 for 2 so I picked up one of the newish matte balms in audacious, one of the laquer balms in vivacious and one of the Revlon Lip Butters.

From MUA I got one of their Mosaic Blushes in Engliah Rose which adds just the right amount of colour to your cheeks and a touch of shimmer.

Also from MUA I picked up this palette. All shades are matte which I love because I don't always want to have shimmery eyes, especially in my day to day makeup for work or just nipping to the shop. I love that the shades are very neutral and are a mix of light and dark shades.

Lastly from MUA I got a white eyeliner because I haven't been sleeping too well lately and just wanted something to pop around my eyes to brighten them and make me look more awake.

From the Sleek stand I finally got my hands of the Blush by 3 in Lace. The shades are so pigmented and bright that a little goes a long way. I thought that these shades would be perfect for spring and summer, especially with a bit of a tan.

From Mac I just picked up one lipstick in the colour Hue. It's a glaze finish and is just a lovely every day nude. I love the way it feels on my lips and like all other Mac lipsticks, it's smells delicious!

I found this tiny little shampoo in the new Poundland which opened this weeken in my local town. It's meant to take the yellow tones out of blonde hair and I'm up for trying anything to get rid of those yellow tones.

From Tesco I picked up a new moisturiser because I ran out of mine and wanted to try something new. It's Simple's Hydrating light moisturiser. I chose this because I love Simple as a brand and because now the warmer weather is approaching, I don't want to be using thick creams on my face because it doesn't feel too nice when you get all hot and bothered and then your moisturiser starts sliding about your face! So far I'm loving this, it absorbs quickly and feels nice and cooling when applied.

And lastly, a slightly random product I picked up was this piercing aftercare solution from Claire's. Me and my friend went in there to check out their jewellery stands and I just decided to get my cartalige pierced as a spare if the moment thing. I've got my cartalige pierced already but I got it done again just under and I've put a tiny silver hoop in he existing piercing and the new one I've got a little silver ball. It looks pretty cool! So this is what I'm cleaning it with 3 times a day.

Ok, so we're finally at the end of my slightly ridiculous beauty haul. Thank you if you've stuck it out till the end!

Let me know in the comments what you think of any of the products I picked up.

Bye guys x
